THE UNBEARABLE LIGHTNESS OF BEING (1984)
------------------------MILAN KUNDERA

The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1984), by Milan Kundera, is a philosophical novel about two men, two women, and their lives in the Prague Spring of the Czechoslovak Communist period in 1968. Although written in 1982, the novel was not published until two years later, in France. The Czech: Nesnesitelná lehkost bytí and French: l'Insoutenable légèreté de l'être titles are more common worldwide.

The Unbearable Lightness of Being takes place in Prague in 1968. It explores the artistic and intellectual life of Czech society during the Communist period, from the Prague Spring to the Soviet Union’s August 1968 invasion and its aftermath. The characters are Tomáš, a successful surgeon; his wife Tereza, a photographer anguished by her husband's infidelities; Tomáš’s lover Sabina, a free-spirited artist; and the secondary characters Franz, a Swiss university professor and lover of Sabina; and Simon, Tomáš’s estranged son from an earlier marriage.

Kundera was born in 1929 into a middle class family. His father, Ludvík Kundera (1891–1971), once a pupil of the composer Leoš Janáček, was an important Czech musicologist and pianist who served as the head of the Janáček Music Academy in Brno from 1948 to 1961. Milan learned to play the piano from his father, later going on to study musicology and musical composition. Musicological influences and references can be found throughout his work; he has even gone so far as including notes in the text to make a point.
Kundera belonged to the generation of young Czechs who had had little or no experience of the pre-war democratic Czechoslovak Republic. Their ideology was greatly influenced by the experiences of World War II and the German occupation. Still in his teens, Kundera joined the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia which seized power in 1948.
Kundera completed his secondary school studies in Brno in 1948. He studied literature and aesthetics at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague. After two terms, he transferred to the Film Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he first attended lectures in film direction and script writing. In 1950, his studies were briefly interrupted by political interference.
In 1950, he and another writer, Jan Trefulka, were expelled from the party for "anti-party activities." Trefulka described the incident in his novella Pršelo jim štěstí (Happiness Rained On Them, 1962). Kundera also used the incident as an inspiration for the main theme of his novel Žert (The Joke, 1967).
After graduating in 1952, the Film Faculty appointed him a lecturer in world literature. In 1956 Milan Kundera was readmitted into the Party. He was expelled for the second time in 1970. Kundera, along with other reform communist writers such as Pavel Kohout, were partly involved in the 1968 Prague Spring. This brief period of reformist activities was crushed by the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia in August 1968.
Kundera remained committed to reforming Czech communism, and argued vehemently in print with fellow Czech writer Václav Havel, saying, essentially, that everyone should remain calm and that "nobody is being locked up for his opinions yet," and "the significance of the Prague Autumn may ultimately be greater than that of the Prague Spring." Finally, however, Kundera relinquished his reformist dreams and moved to France in 1975. He taught for a few years in the University of Rennes[2][3]. He has been a French citizen since 1981.

Associated Mind Map

Here is the ASSOCIATED MIND MAP from the theme 'Jungle Exploration', which I did in the first mind map.
In this map i use a new format i created, it is no matter about the gradation of the key word, only use the color area of the them of 1st level. It is more free and also easy to check.

MIND MAP: JUNGLE EXPLORATION

This is the mind map I've done of 'JUNGLE EXPLORATION'
The inspirit comes from the holiday experience to east malaysia jungle.
to set all things in a map and give out all the information of creativity process is not easy, and i think the most difficult part is to combine the relationship of each info.
Here i got some of my experience I'd like to share:
1. Do more research as much as you can.
2. Collect all the information in brain, analyse them into several part.
3. Develop each part one by one or increase them together, rather you like.
4. Put the key word on paper, too much details is useless.
5. Give yourself a story after the map done. It will be great and wonderful.

DA VINCI IS SECRET, DA VINCI IS ART

HOMO VITRUVIANUS

The Vitruvian Man takes its name from the ancient Roman architect Vitruvius who lived in the 1st Century BC. His treaty De Architectura had an important influence on the subject throughout the centuries an d especially in the Renassaince period. Vitruvius described the human figure as being the principal source of proportion among the classical orders of architecture.

The drawing made by Leonardo represents a study of human proportions with geometry and of the relations of man with nature. “Leonardo envisaged the great picture chart of the human body he had produced through his a

natomical drawings and Vitruvian Man as a cosmografia del minor mondo (cosmography of the microcosm). He believed the workings of the human body to be an analogy for the workings of the universe*

Defining Creativity- A Creative SALAMANDER

THE SALAMANDER

A frined of mine in FAwas doing her assignment of animation character design.
This final look is from the inspiration of all amphbian like frogs, turtles, mainly from the salamanders.

The face and expressions of this creative salamander is from her own face, she developed it into a Q-EDI and changed evey part into animal step by step.

To me, this is a very good example to define creative-
-To anderstand the purpose what you need.
-To search the animals/humanbeings exist in the real world.
- To memorise all the experience in real life.
- To use our imagination to mix them together.
- To develop them into another format-animation/3D/and ect.
-To give the information to the people trrough the develpment.
